Struggling Red Sox hire Dombrowski as new president, GM Cherington leaves club
The Boston Red Sox have hired former Detroit Tigers boss Dave Dombrowski as the team's new president. The Red Sox also said general manager Ben Cherington is leaving the club, two years after building the 2013 World Series champions.
