Cleveland Indians to host the 2019 MLB All-Star Game

Cleveland has hosted the game five previous times in 1935, 1954, 1963 and 1981 at Municipal Stadium, which was torn down in the 1990s. The last time Cleveland held the showcase event at Progressive Field was 1997, when Indians catcher Sandy Alomar was named Most Valuable Player.
