Canadian Olympic skip Kevin Koe's father was shaped by his residential school experience

Fred Koe fell in love with curling before he was ripped from his home and placed in a residential school in the Northwest Territories for 10 months. When he had his own family, he used his favourite sport as a way to stay connected with his three kids — including a son who is now skipping Team Canada at the Olympics.
