Daniel Murphy signs 3-year, free-agent deal with Nationals: report

A person familiar with the negotiations says second baseman Daniel Murphy and the Washington Nationals have agreed to a three-year contract. Murphy hit .281 this past season with a career-best 14 homers and 73 runs batted in.
